Charlton writes: "A year ago, I was in a state of emotional
turmoil and physical deterioration. I was not sleeping, and I
suffered from bloating, excess gas and unwanted kilos. Now I see
the connections. Yoga teaches that what you eat influences every
aspect of your being: your weight, your complexion, your energy
levels, whether you're in pain or not, and whether you're happy
or sad, a fully functioning person or a walking disaster.
In
my case, I discovered that a natural tendency to choose stimulating
food and drink had only exacerbated an already passionate and
intense nature. I came to an understanding that these and other
dietary habits had contributed to both a serious lack of vital
nutrients in my body, and a burden of anger and sadness in my
heart. I have since learned which foods balance these tendencies.
The
Yoga Diet has empowered me to manage my health issues, and to
achieve my ideal weight. It has been a pleasure, not a struggle.
Instead of feeling that I've had to go without, I feel that I've
never eaten so well or enjoyed such abundance.
My
work life has improved, I'm optimistic about the future, and when
it comes to facing life's ups and downs, I have a greater capacity
to 'endure what can't be cured'. I wish I had discovered the Yoga
Diet when I was younger, and I hope that young people will take
the opportunity it presents to build strong bodies and strong minds.
But it's never too late to start. At any age you can find your ideal
weight and become a happier, more balanced person by following the
Yoga Diet". |
